Our Bernese Mountain Dog Puppies For Sale

Meet one of our sweet girls! Her tricolor Berner markings are pretty adorable. We currently have second pick of the litter available, contact us now by text/email or submit an application to learn more about our available Bernese puppies.

This is one of our handsome boys. He is a sweet little bundle. Picking for this litter will be done around 4-5 weeks of age, contact us to reserve a picking spot.

This cutie is one of our girls. Her soft, fuzzy coat makes it so enjoyable to pet her! She will come vet checked, up to date on vaccinations/dewormer, and a lifetime of support from us as a breeder. Reserve a picking spot now!

Meet another of our Berner boys! Our puppies come with a three year health warranty to give you peace of mind along with your new puppy. This litter is at our IL location, about 1.5 hours south of Chicago.

This is another little girl among the six females! She has a more narrow strip of white which helps her stand out from the rest of the litter somewhat. Picking is done via photos/vidoes as well as a video call to help you narrow down your pick.

Meet another of our Berner boys! He is the only one that has a little swiss kiss dot on the back of his head. With genetic testing on his parents done, this little guy has potential for a long, healthy life without having to worry about genetic issues since both parents are both genetically clear of diseases.

This is another girl! She also has a more narrow strip of white along with lots of tan coloring. Our parent dogs have also passed hip/elbow/heart and eye OFA certification with great results.

Meet one of the boys! He has a pretty cute, boxy Berner head and build. We're guessing he'll be one of the bigger ones. With mom around 70 lbs and dad a little under 100 lbs, the largest puppies should fall around 90-100 lbs at adulthood.

Here is another sweet little girl who will come with AKC registration, like her siblings. We enjoy being a resource for our puppies families, before and after going home time, so feel free to send us questions whenever.

Another of the boys here! Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see photos of our past litter as puppies and adults to help give you an idea of what this litter will look like when they grow up.

This adorable little girl has pretty cute markings. Contact us to learn more about how to pick this girl or one of her siblings for your family. Submit an application at the below link to start the process!

Here at Oak Creek, our happy, healthy, family raised Bernese Mountain Dog puppies come with a three-year health warranty, vet check and current vaccinations.  Their dewclaws have been removed and they are microchipped.  By the time the puppies are going home age, crate training has already been started, the first step in potty training.  Each of our puppies has been socialized to children as well as adults and has benefited from plenty of early interactions with our family. We love the Berner's mellow, easy going nature and have found them to be a perfect match for our family, and our children who range in age from pre-schooler to adult. Our puppies are used to kids and love to interact with children!

Our Berner puppies have the benefit of being the offspring of dogs who have had health screenings as well as genetic testing before being admitted into Oak Creek's breeding program.  As breeders of healthy, purebred AKC Bernese Mountain Dog puppies, we are committed to continually improving the health, genetics and quality of our parent lines and are actively involved in breeder education. See our Bernese Mountain Dog parents page to view a complete listing of the OFA hip, elbow, heart, CAER testing and genetic screening for our puppies' parents.

For superior health and longevity, we have carefully selected our Berner lines from pedigrees with excellent health and a sweet natured, family-friendly personality. We breed our Berner puppies to the AKC standard of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of American.  We follow the requirements of the BMDCA for the health testing and DNA testing that should be done on Bernese Mountain Dogs before they are permitted to have puppies.  These requirements are listed below:

  • Hip evaluations from GDC, OFA, OVC, PennHIP, or board certified radiologist

  • Elbow evaluations from GDC, OFA, OVC, or board certified radiologist

  • CERF or OFA eye examination, or board certified ophthalmologist

  • OFA Heart evaluation, or board certified cardiologist

  • DM DNA test for SOD1-A and SOD1-B

  • von Willebrand's DNA test

Bringing a puppy into your life is a time of excitement and joy.  While we, as Bernese Mountain Dog breeders, have focused on ensuring your puppy has good genetics and excellent early socialization, much of what your puppy will become is a result of the continuing experiences, socialization and training they receive with their new family.  We are glad to be a resource for you as you bring your new puppy home.  We are here to help you as you bring home your new Bernese Mountain Dog, whether this is your first puppy or if you have many years of dog ownership experience. A new puppy plays such a special role in enriching our lives!

About Us

Oak Creek now has two locations! One is located north of Lafayette, Indiana, about an hour and a half northwest of Indianapolis and about 1.5 hours southeast from downtown Chicago, Illinois. The second location is in Central Illinois, about 45 minutes north east of Bloomington and around 1.5 hours from the southern Chicago area. Our dogs are a special part of our life, and we enjoy hearing back from our puppies' new families, to hear how their Berner puppy has become a special part of their family's memories, too.

Our family has been raising puppies since 2002 and has extensive experience in animal husbandry and genetics. High health and a sound temperament are the hallmark of our breeding lines. Many of our puppies find their new homes through the acquaintances and families of those who already own one, or several of our puppies.

Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have about our current puppies, or the Bernese Mountain Dog breed.  We welcome visits to our home by appointment. We look forward to hearing from you. Come join our Berner family today!

I am sending you a picture of our dog. He is now 6 months old. He has been a real pleasure and fits right in with our family. He is also a very smart dog. He has been #1 in his classes. I have also taught him how to go up a ladder and down a slide.

Hi!! I just wanted to send an update on Murphy - previously known as Boots! He’s truly AMAZING. From the second we got home with him he’s been inseparable from our 3 year old Great Dane. He potty trained within 2 weeks, and sleeps in a crate at night. He absolutely loves being outdoors (for now) he is 45 pounds, and has the curliest fluffiest coat! On top of all of that! Hes so gentle and sweet to our 2 year old, they are also best friends! Thanks a million times over again for raising and breeding such wonderful dogs!

BARB AND BOB

We all absolutely love this dog! He is awesome. Thanks for the good breeding and initial training you do with them.
